A note with CVSS 5.4 for component EHS-SUS-FND was released by SAP on 13.10.2020. The correction/advisory 2873099 was described with "Missing Authorization check in EHS Task Definition attachments" and affects the system type ABAP.
A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process .
The vulnerability addressed is missing authorization check within ABAP.
Missing authority checks are still the most common security defect related to authorizations in custom code. This note has been re-released with updated 'Correction instruction' information. - The Manage Task Definition (F2528), Manage Change Request Task (F3415) and Manage Maintenance Notification Task (F3415) applications do not perform the necessary authorization checks for an authenticated user, resulting in escalation of privileges for attachments related to a task definition.Solution
The affected functions have now been enforced to properly check access restrictions.
