On 11.05.2021 a security relevant correction has been released by SAP SE. The manufacturer resolves an issue within Java.
SAP Note 3012021 addresses "[Multiple CVEs] Multiple vulnerabilities in SAP Process Integration (Integration Builder Framework)" to prevent code injection denial of service (dos) with a medium risk for exploitation.
A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as part of maintenance, the team suggests.
Risk specification
The Integration Builder Framework of SAP Process Integration allows an attacker with admin privileges to upload any file (including script files) without proper file format validation. Additionally, the application does not sufficiently validate an XML document accepted from a local source. See CVE-2021-27617 and CVE-2021-27618Solution
Protective measures against XML Injection and Unrestricted File Type Upload have been applied on code level.
