SAP takes the security of its vast product portfolio very seriously and thus releases security fixes for vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and their customers every second Tuesday of the month.

SAP Note 3555364 was released on 11.02.2025 and deals with "[CVE-2025-24875] SameSite Defense in Depth not applied for some cookies in SAP Commerce" within SAP Commerce Cloud. We advice you to follow the instructions, to resolve cross-site request forgery (xsrf) with a medium potential for exploitation in component CEC-SCC-CDM-BO-FRW.

According to SAP Security Advisory team a workaround does not exist. It is advisable to implement the correction as project.

Risk specification

SAP Commerce allows an unauthenticated attacker to exploit a misconfigured SameSite attribute in cookies, potentially leading to cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks.

Solution

SAP Commerce now allows configuring the SameSite attribute for cookies directly from the application, enabling fine-grained policy selection.
