On 10.10.2023 a security relevant correction has been released by SAP SE. The manufacturer resolves an issue within SAP Business One.
SAP Note 3338380 addresses "[CVE-2023-41365] Information Disclosure vulnerability in SAP Business One (B1i)" to prevent information disclosure with a medium risk for exploitation.
A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as part of maintenance, the team suggests.
Information disclosure is when an application fails to properly protect sensitive and confidential information from
parties that are not supposed to have access to the subject matter in normal circumstances.

SAP Business One (B1i) allows an authorized attacker to retrieve stack trace details of the error message enabling the attacker to execute XXE injections resulting in an XXE vulnerability.Solution
The backend APIs were changed to only respond clients with generic error messages containing a unique error GUID.
