On 11.02.2025 a security relevant correction has been released by SAP SE. The manufacturer resolves an issue within SAP Commerce Cloud.

SAP Note 3540273 addresses "[CVE-2024-45216] Multiple vulnerabilities in Apache Solr within SAP Commerce Cloud" to prevent missing authentication check with a medium risk for exploitation.

A workaround does not exist, according to SAP Security Advisory team. It is advisable to implement the correction as part of maintenance, the team suggests.

SAP Commerce Cloud contains vulnerabilities in Apache Solr that an attacker can exploit to access the database, potentially leading to unauthorized access to sensitive data.

Solution

The application now utilizes a secure version of Apache Solr, preventing unauthorized database access.
