SAP takes the security of its vast product portfolio very seriously and thus releases security fixes for vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and their customers every second Tuesday of the month.

SAP Note 3190894 was released on 09.01.2024 and deals with "[CVE-2024-21734] URL Redirection vulnerability in SAP Marketing (Contacts App)" within SAP Marketing. We advice you to follow the instructions, to resolve url redirection vulnerability with a low potential for exploitation in component CEC-MKT-DM-CON.

According to SAP Security Advisory team a workaround does not exist. It is advisable to implement the correction as monthly patch process.

SAP Marketing Contacts App allows an authenticated attacker to redirected user to a malicious website due to insufficient URL validation.

Solution

SAP Marketing Contact Apps has been updated to prevent the URL redirection vulnerability.
